The Islamic Republic’s latest show of solidarity — voiced yesterday by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi — underscores how both countries are seeking to rally allies and project defiance amid renewed US strikes and sanctions threats.
Araghchi addressed the situation in Venezuela in remarks to reporters on Wednesday while opening a Foreign Ministry office in the western Hamedan province.
“Araghchi reaffirmed that Iran has always expressed solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela and will continue to stand by them,” the semiofficial Tasnim News Agency reported.
