A group of Israeli settlers launched attacks Tuesday on industrial and agricultural facilities near the Palestinian town of Beit Lid, east of Tulkarem, resulting in large fires and injuries to several residents.

What happened: According to Palestinian news agency Wafa, the group of dozens of settlers targeted the al-Lada’in industrial area, where multiple Palestinian vehicles were set ablaze, including four trucks belonging to the Al-Juneidi Dairy Factory. Reports of the attack first began to surface late afternoon local time.

The violence also extended to agricultural lands, metal sheds and tents belonging to a small Bedouin community in Beit Lid. Settlers reportedly threw stones at residents, injuring at least two people with head wounds. Wafa shared an image showing a man with a bandaged and bloodied head.

In its report, Wafa cited local sources as saying that “Israeli forces stormed the area to protect the settlers and pursued residents who attempted to confront the attack.”
