Eid Mubarak to everyone celebrating! It’s been a relatively quiet week on the deal front as much of the region pauses for the Islamic holiday. But there's no shortage of anticipation: Middle Eastern governments are closely watching for US President Donald Trump’s expected tariff announcement, a move that could ripple through global markets later today.

Separately, the president confirmed his first foreign trip in his second term will be to the Middle East, likely in May, with Saudi Arabia being one of the stops. The kingdom was also his first trip in his first term. We also look at how Trump’s son-in-law’s Affinity Partners fund has been riding a wave of growth thanks to its Middle Eastern investments.
