Welcome back to Al-Monitor Business and Tech.

It’s been a wild week for global markets as the trade war ignited by President Donald Trump continues to escalate. Oil prices fell to their lowest in four years on Wednesday at under $60 a barrel, undoubtedly having a significant impact on Gulf economies, before rebounding above $65 after Trump announced a 90-day pause on the tariffs, excluding those on China.
