Japan turns to the Gulf
Bilateral talks between Kuwait and Japan this week produced a joint action plan through 2028 spanning energy, trade and education, while advancing long-delayed free trade negotiations.

This week Saudi Arabia and Egypt signed a protocol to expand naval cooperation. In the economic sphere, India and the UAE set a $100 billion non-oil trade goal, China’s Baosteel advanced a $2 billion green steel venture in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait accepted bids for a massive power-water project.
