The world’s biggest energy conference in Abu Dhabi is taking place this week, fresh off the heels of the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh. Gulf deals abound, but not just at these events. We also saw DP World’s pledge to invest $5 billion into India’s infrastructure, a market where the Dubai-based logistics company sees growth potential. US ride-hailing giant Uber is expanding in the region with a $200 million investment into a new research and development center in Istanbul.
