An explosion aboard a ship led to a fire at a Dubai port late Wednesday night.

Authorities reported the fire around midnight at the Jebel Ali Port in the United Arab Emirates’ largest city. It broke out following an explosion in a container at a ship, officials said. The blaze was brought under control and there were no casualties, the Dubai Media Office said in a series of tweets. First responders used water cannon to douse the blaze, according to footage released by the office.

Videos posted on local social media showed a massive, highly visible flame shooting up into the sky, followed by a big sound heard throughout the city that some social media users first said they heard around 11:45 p.m.
