Iraq's prime minister makes first foreign trip to Jordan
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani met with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Amman to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani visited Jordan today on his first foreign trip and was received by Jordanian King Abdullah II.
Sudani was accompanied by Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, head of the prime minister's office Ihsan Awwadi and governor of Anbar province Ali Farhan.
In the presence of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh, the two sides discussed in a meeting bilateral relations and stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation between Iraq and Jordan on various issues of mutual concern.
They also discussed mutual cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed by the two countries previously.
