Violence in the West Bank continues to escalate amid the ongoing Hamas-Israel war in the Gaza Strip, with at least 185 Palestinians killed in Israeli raids or settler attacks since Hamas’ cross-border attack on Oct. 7, according to Palestinian authorities.

On Monday, an elderly Palestinian man was shot dead by Israeli forces in the southern West Bank city of Hebron. Ali Tamimi, 66, was shot in the head as he drove his car near the administrative building of the Islamic Charitable Society for the Care of Orphans, which was being raided by the Israeli army, according to the official WAFA news agency.

Israeli forces stormed the charity’s headquarters and seized computers and files before welding its doors shut. Israel has repeatedly accused charities in the West Bank of providing support to Hamas.

At least five other Palestinians were killed in a series of raids over the weekend.
