The Future of Energy and Power in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

On May 22, 2025, The Al-Monitor Global Institute hosted a conference on 'The Future of Energy and Power in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq,'  featuring fireside chats with US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, as well as panel discussions with senior KRG officials, industry leaders, and experts.

Correction: This video misstated the nature of US investments (see 2:08 in video). The investments are expected to generate an estimated $110 billion in revenues over the lives of the projects, not that they total over $110 billion.
