Israel strikes Lebanon's capital Beirut for first time in 3 weeks
An Israeli airstrike hit a residential building near the city of Choueifat, south of Beirut, on Thursday, in a rare attack in the vicinity of the Lebanese capital since a US-brokered ceasefire came into force last month.
What happened: The state-run Lebanese national news agency said the strike hit an apartment on the second floor of a building in al-Ajniha al-Khamsa residential neighborhood located between Choueifat and al-Amroussiyeh.
