Emil Avdaliani is a professor of international relations and the history of diplomacy at European University in Tbilisi, Georgia. His research focuses on the Silk Road and world powers' interests in the Middle East and the Caucasus. Avdaliani is the author of "New World Order and Small Regions: The Case of South Caucasus."
