A journalist since 1996, Hale Gönültaş began her career with the Turkish newspaper Evrensel. She later served as a defense correspondent for the Aksam and Sabah newspapers and as a diplomacy correspondent for Vatan before starting freelance work in 2014. She has authored one book and produced a documentary.
