In Dubai, reporting on Gulf energy policy and politics
Jennifer Gnana is Al-Monitor's Gulf correspondent based in the UAE. In her previous role, she was Saudi Arabia correspondent with S&P Global Commodity Insights covering energy policy, OPEC and transition efforts underway in the world’s largest oil-exporting country.
Gnana, who was raised in Bahrain, has been covering political economy in the Middle East for over 10 years with leading publications such as The National and Middle East Economic Digest. She started her career in broadcast with the BBC covering developments in South Asia, focusing on India’s economic growth toward the end of the last decade and the broader challenge of integrating social objectives with financial policy. Gnana speaks Persian and Urdu apart from her native Tamil.
