AL-MONITOR TAPS THE HILL GLOBAL AFFAIRS REPORTER JULIAN PECQUET
Washington, D.C (March 10, 2014) Al-Monitor, an independent American media company and news organization dedicated to in-depth coverage and analysis of the Middle East, is pleased to announce that it has hired Julian Pecquet as its congressional correspondent. Pecquet, who led the Global Affairs blog at The Hill, will join Al-Monitor’s distinguished roster of international journalists.
“I'm thrilled to be joining Al-Monitor as it cements its reputation as the must-read site for Middle East news and analysis for readers the world over,” remarked Pecquet. “Congress, of course, continues to play a central role in events shaping the region, and I look forward to the opportunity to cover its players as they influence global events.”
“Julian is a seasoned Congressional correspondent and we are excited that he is joining Al-Monitor’s team of Middle East experts,” said Al-Monitor Editor-in-Chief Dr. Andrew Parasiliti. “Julian’s reporting combined with the launch of Al-Monitor’s new Congress Pulse will focus on the relationship between Congress and the Middle East.”
