Books, culture and global exchange take center stage as the Doha International Book Fair returns for its largest edition yet. The 34th edition welcomes 522 publishers from 43 countries, bringing together stories, voices and cultures from around the world under one roof. This year, the spotlight shines on Palestine as the guest of honor, with 11 Palestinian publishing houses participating and a dedicated program celebrating Palestinian heritage, literature and thought.

The fair offers more than 166,000 titles spanning genres and languages, alongside a packed agenda of author meet-and-greets, literary panels, book launches and cultural seminars featuring leading Arab intellectuals. Visitors can also explore the newly introduced Professional Literary Exchange Program, designed to strengthen global cooperation in publishing and translation.

Families will find plenty to explore in the children’s area and theater, which features interactive activities, performances and educational books from top children’s publishers. Meanwhile, the Cultural Salon and two dedicated workshop halls will host in-depth sessions on creative and cultural topics.

Notable new additions include the Halabouni Book Market from Syria and participation from several UK publishers. The fair will also announce winners of the Doha International Book Fair Awards, recognizing excellence across writing, publishing and children’s literature.
